Brendon James Abbott was born in Footscray, Victoria on the 8th May 1962.
Brenden is Australia's most successful Bank Robber and Prison Escapee.

On Christmas Eve, 1993 The Commonwealth Bank at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre on Queensland's Gold Coast was
robbed by Brenden and at least two accomplices of $781,252!
This was no standard robbery.
The banks rear doors and security system were under the control of the Armed men
Police think Brenden was in the Bank for at least 30 minutes prior to the Robbery fixing up the alarm system.
With the help of Police Scanners, the men owned the bank and took their Christmas loot without a hitch!
They simply walked in wearing overalls and balaclavas sawn off shotgun at the ready and went to work.

Eventually,  weeks later, Brendon was caught in Old Burleigh Road with a .32 pistol in his belt-bag.
Once Brenden knew there was no escape and after making Senior Policemen all over Australia look like a bunch of bloody fools,
he gave the arresting Detective the news he wanted to hear...
'I fuckin' had you c.... shitting for a while, didn't I?'

After sentencing abbott in Southport District Courthouse, Judge Pratt went on to describe Brenden as
'a studied, disciplined, intelligent Bank Robber'... Unusual words from the Bench!

Brendon was placed in Queensland's worst Jail Division... B Block, in Sir David Longland Correctional Centre, Wacol, West of Brisbane.
It was no secret he wanted out of the 'Killing Fields'. This Division has seen more murder and suicides than any other Prison in Queensland.
With an IQ of 140... and plenty of change at the ready, Brenden set about on Queensland's most famous and well planed Prison Break!

Brendon lined up a team of murderers and rapists to come over the wall with him, not to do them any favours,
Just to create a Nation wide nightmare of the worst of the worst, running around Queensland as desperate as hell.
This would take the heat of Brenden and let him get back to his business of robbing Banks.

With some angel wire smuggled into the Division (secreted in a female visitors vagina)
The plan was put into effect.
The backs of plastic chairs were used as ladders to clear the first fences.
Sir David Longland had 10 staff rostered on that night, 3 ran towards the escaping Prisoners only to finding themselves under fire from a distant gunman, A perimeter vehicle set after them, but had both it's batteries shot out making the car useless.

The 5 escapees made off into the night in a V8 Fairlane and all got away.
